These Terms of Service govern your use of LessonInc ("Platform"), operated by MindOrp Education Pvt. Ltd. ("Company"). By registering or using our platform, you agree to these terms.
1. Eligibility
- You must be at least 13 years old to use our platform
- Students aged 15 or under must have parent/guardian consent
- Tutors must be at least 18 years old
- By registering, you confirm all information provided is accurate
2. Tutor Obligations
2.1 Registration & Verification
- Tutors must provide accurate qualification documents and government ID
- False or misleading information will result in permanent account suspension
- Tutors must not impersonate other individuals or use fake credentials
2.2 Platform Conduct
- Tutors must not solicit direct payments outside the LessonInc platform
- All tution fees must be processed through LessonInc's payment system
- Tutors must honour confirmed demo sessions and assignments
- Dropping a student without genuine reason may result in a 15–30 day block from new assignments
- Tutors must maintain professional conduct in all communications
2.3 Security Deposit
A refundable security deposit equivalent to one month's fee is deducted from early earnings. This is returned as M-Coins after 6 months of complaint-free service.
2.4 Subscription
Free tutors may contact students using M-Coins. Subscribed tutors get unlimited contacts and featured search placement. Subscription fees are non-refundable after the first 24 hours.
3. Student Obligations
- Students must not share tutor contact information obtained through the platform with third parties
- Students must pay fees through the platform only
- Students must attend scheduled sessions or cancel with reasonable notice
- Students must not post false, misleading, or malicious reviews
4. Payments
- All payments are processed through Razorpay and are subject to their terms
- Platform commission (default 10%) is deducted from each payment to tutors
- Tutor payouts are processed after the dispute window closes (typically 24 hours after session)
- GST is applicable on platform fees as per Indian tax law
5. M-Coins
- M-Coins have no cash value and cannot be withdrawn
- M-Coins can be used to contact students, boost profiles, and access platform features
- 100 M-Coins = ₹10 equivalent in platform credit
- M-Coins expire after 12 months of account inactivity
- M-Coins earned through fraudulent means will be reversed
6. Complaints, Disputes & Appeals
- Complaints must be filed within 7 days of the incident with supporting evidence
- Disputes must be raised within 24 hours of a payment being made
- Appeal against a strike must be filed within 72 hours of the penalty
- LessonInc's decision on complaints and disputes is final after the appeal process
7. Content
- Questions submitted to the question bank become the property of MindOrp Education Pvt. Ltd.
- You retain rights to your profile content (bio, photos, videos)
- By uploading content, you grant LessonInc a licence to display it on our platform
- We may remove content that violates our guidelines without notice
8. Termination
We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms, engage in fraudulent activity, or harm the platform community. Suspended tutors may appeal within 72 hours.
9. Limitation of Liability
LessonInc facilitates connections between tutors and students but is not liable for the quality of tutoring services rendered. Our maximum liability is limited to the platform fees collected in the 3 months preceding any claim.
10. Governing Law
These terms are governed by the laws of India. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of courts in Uttar Pradesh, India.
